Trustees’ Week, taking place from 5-12 November, will showcase the work of the volunteers usually behind the scenes at charities and highlight opportunities for other people to also get involved.
Organised by the Charity Commission in partnership with a range of organisations, including WCVA, the week will see events and activities across Wales and England aimed both at existing and potential trustees.
There are an estimated 230,000 trustees – or management committee members – in Wales who ensure their organisations are well run, solvent and working towards the purpose for which they were established.
“They may be called trustees, directors, board members, governors or committee members, but they are the people with ultimate responsibility for directing the business of the charity,” said WCVA Chief Executive Graham Benfield OBE.

Cardiff Third Sector Council, as well as the WCVA, can offer you training for trustees.
